Dixie Cups - Camp 1642

Calvin - we will be handing out our own version of Dixie Cups after the service These are small cups of ice cream ($3,00 a dozen at Krogers) that we have attached a battle flag to. We also have the little wooden (wrapped) spoons.

Confederate Memorial Day observance is Saturday

The annual Arkansas Confederate Memorial Day Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Home Cemetery. The ceremony is conducted by the United Daughters of the Confederacy Chapter 2264 and Wiggins Battery Civil War Reenactors.

News Release for Confederate Memorial Day—Monday, April 26th

The Constitution of the Confederates States of America will be exhibited from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on Monday, April, 26, 2010, in the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library (on the 3rd floor of the Main Library) at the University of Georgia in Athens.

Confederate honors on tap for downtown square on Sunday

MOULTRIE — The Moultrie McNeill UDC Chapter 661 has finalized plans for the upcoming Confederate Memorial Day service, the Chapter’s 107th. It is set for 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 25 at the Confederate Monument. All interested public and descendants of soldiers who participated in the War Between the States are encouraged to attend.

The Frankie Lyle Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy will sponsor their Confederate Memorial Day Service this Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 2 pm at the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church at 315 Morrow Road in Forest Park, Georgia.

Confederate fallen soldiers to be remembered in ceremony - April 25

"Our memorial service is to honor the Civil War soldiers who fought and died for the Confederate States of America," said Nancy Partridge of Ormond Beach, a direct descendant of the cemetery's original land donor. "It is part of the preservation of the heritage of America's South."

Corinth, Mississippi - Corinth Heritage Day/Memorial Service - April 24-25

Col. W.P. Rogers SCV Camp #321 in Corinth Ms. Sat April 24 - 9:00 to 5:00 Corinth Heritage Day at the historic Verandah House in Corinth to include, tours of the house, re-enactors drills and skirmish,cannon firing, large display of flags, relics and Civil War items, period music by the "Lost Cause" and a history quiz for students with prizes.
